Dr. Van Zyl grew up in the Owen Sound area. After obtaining a science degree from the University of Western Ontario he spent a year radio-tracking ducks in the Lake St. Claire National Wildlife Area. He then attended the Ontario Veterinary School, graduating in 2020 and now lives in the area with his wife and their golden retriever, Cooper. 

 

He has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and loves getting to know clients. In his off time, he enjoys spending time with his wife while camping, hunting and fishing.
